HUGE ILLINOIS Shoebox Swap and SCS Gathering!

Grace and I attended the HUGE ILLINOIS Shoebox Swap and SCS Gathering at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library yesterday - All we can say is WOW! The event was AMAZING!

Our host Sarah Moore (no relation to Grace:) is a Wild woman - she ROCKS! They had so many fun activities planned: HUGE Shoebox Swap, Demonstrations and Projects by Splitcoast Stamping Stars, Project/Card Displays, Optional Hand Stamped Gift Exchange, Optional ATC Swap, Amazing Door Prizes and goodie bags for all participants!!! We got so many goodies and a FUN time was had by all - BUT WE ARE TIRED.

We were split up into 2 groups of 40 and designed one wonderful card! At the event, we were be given a small space to set up a “stamping station”. Then we went around the room and made all the cards for our group. We were the Hearts (the other group was Diamonds). We brought ALL of your supplies in a “shoebox." This is why it is called a Shoebox Swap! We only had about 10 minutes to make each card so it was definitely speed stamping. Then there were Splitcoast “Star Stampers”that were invited to assist and inspire us. They demonstrated special techniques during optional breakout sessions. We took lots of pictures so look for those in the following days...
