Museum of Modern Ice Chicago

So last night I went with a friend to check out Museum of Modern Ice Chicago at Millennium Park. Canadian artist Gordon Halloran’s work, Paintings Below Zero is displayed across from the Bean (Cloud Gate sculpture). It was a chilly night but after enjoying the infamous Kobe Burger at the Park Grill it was worth it! I highly recommend checking it out - it will be on display throughout the month of February. Halloran’s ice paintings use portable refrigeration technology: modular aluminum plates that efficiently conduct the cold.

He also created an ice painting in Millennium Park’s McCormick Tribune Ice Rink.
