SU is coming out with a scalloped border punch in the new catalog!

Let's Celebrate Mom!

Hello Stampers!

I am offering 2 Stamp Camps - contact me for details!

We will be making a Simply Scrappin’ Card Box created out of a Simply Scrappin’ Kit along with 5 cards to celebrate Mother's Day - you could also use this gift for a sister, aunt, friend. The cards are not Mother's Day cards so they could be used for anything. In addition, we will make a Mother's Day card.

Cost: $25 per class. You will receive ½ of the Scrappin’ Kit that will used to make the box and cards. Any leftovers are yours to keep. We will use a majority of the cardstock.

Cost $40 per class. You will receive a full Scrappin’ Kit. This option will leave you with enough card stock and envelopes to make another card box and cards OR more cards for your box or for your own use.

Please RSVP by Saturday, April 10th since we will need to order the Scrappin’ Kit in advance.

If you would like to participate but are not able to make one of the classes, please let me know and I can make box/cards for you.

Feel free to invite a friend(s)!

Okay I need to get back to work so I am quickly going to combine the cards from my upline's class and what I am showing/teaching tomorrow

Kelli's theme was Happy Birthday:

and I this is my twist on it since I do not have the above stamp set.

We made this one using build a brad - I sent it to my Uncle's for his 60th bday

We made 2 3x3 cards using Eat Cake stamp set

Here is my treat for my Stamp Camp gals - a little carrot with orange jelly beans inside.

Easter Brunch

Last Sunday we had brunch at David Burke's Primehouse (Chicago). They launched their American Dim Sum brunch recently. Small plates such as stuffed french toast, fortune donuts, oatmeal creme brulee, and asian goodies like assorted handmade dumplings and spring rolls are available on the "Dim Sum Cart" as well! There must have been 7 or 8 carts - the last being make your own sundae - dilly-lish and I still lost 4 lbs lol! 28 lbs total.

Tempura Green Beens

Stamp Camp at Pam's

I am soooo behind in posting - so I am doing this at work lol

I have another Stamp Camp tomorrow at 11am so I will show a few of the cards we are planning to make and I attended my upline's stamp camp last Saturday so I will show those cards too!

So Pam's daughter invited her friends from work over for a Stamp Camp 2 weeks ago. We made the Easter card, a Tart & Tangy Card, the Merci card (from an earlier class but Kim was dying to make it) and this chipboard and glitter card that I came up with while watching No Country for Old Men which was the weirdest movie.

So I displayed some of my cards on a few tables...

Here are the cards

Here is Beth, Kim and Pam working diligently with that darn glitter lol

Here is a close up of the Sweeter than Pie card - we are making this tomorrow as well - but I am using the Cutie Pie paper in place of the Polka Dot Background Stamp - you need to color each of the raised dots with markers and jump around and it is hard to tell which ones are colored with the lighter markers plus other stampers are waiting on someone to finish using the stamp.

Paper: Whisper White, Kraft, Wild Wasabi textured, Bashful Blue textured, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Staz On Timber Brown, Real Red, bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive markers

Papertrey Ink Easter Card

Last night I was up til 3am working on my Easter cards - came so early this year! I used the template from the card I made for my last Stamp Camp but used some of the great new colors Papertrey Ink is offering!

Stamps: A Good Egg
Paper: Aqua Mist & Spring Moss Perfect Match Cardstock, Everyday Blessings Papertrey Cardstock
Ribbon: Aqua Mist & Spring Moss Top Notch Twill (3/8 inch wide)
Ink: Aqua Mist Palette Hybrid Ink, Staz On Black, Barely Banana Marker
Accessories: Paper Piercer, Mat Pak, Dimensionals, Copic Spica Glitter Orange Pen

I ran out of the Aqua Mist ribbon (I made close to 30 cards lol) so I used the Spring Moss in the last few.

Easter Card

I am extremely behind on posting tsk tsk...this is a card I worked on last week and one of the cards we made at Pam's Stamp Camp this past Sunday. Since the background is Kelly Green the Certainly Celery cardstock looks a bit muted - I will be changing the background color soon since Easter is just around the color but in honor of ST. Pat's Day it is Kelly Green :)

Anyways, Pam's Stamp Camp pictures are coming too I promise, along with my cousin's visit to Chi-town from Beantown.

Stamps: A Good Egg
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Spring Fling Designer Series Paper
Ribbon: Certainly Celery
Ink: White Craft, Regal Rose, Staz On Black, Barely Banana Marker
Accessories: Uni-Gel Pen, Paper Piercer, Mat Pak, Dimensionals, Copic Spica Glitter Orange Pen

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Top of the mornin' to you!

This past Saturday they turned the river green again - this has been a unique to Chicago for over 40 years. The tradition started in 1962, when city pollution-control workers used dyes to trace illegal sewage discharges and realized that the green dye might provide a unique way to celebrate the holiday. That year, they released 100 pounds of green vegetable dye into the river—enough to keep it green for a week!

Today, in order to minimize environmental damage, only forty pounds of dye are used, making the river green for only several hours.

I was able to get real close and get some great shots of them dying the river...

Here is a Leprechaun

Michigan Avenue

I bought this hat on Mich. Ave as I was walking towards the river - I live only a block off of Mich. Ave & Wacker. I am over 75% Irish so I need to support my heritage ;)

and then there are some crazy outfits and hats...

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
