Have you seen?
I haven't blogged in FAH-EVER
Since then, I volunteered with Grace at the Ronald McDonald's House - big eye opener - we only had 1 lil' stamper Isabelle - she was 3 years old lol - and a sibling of one of the patients - so Grace, her son Zach and I just made a few cards and left them with the volunteers to pass out. It was definitely a sobering experience.
I also made my Halloween cards and mailed these out this past week - Here they are:

I mentioned a month or so I had had my BFF's daughter Emily and her friends down for sleepover in the BIG CITY. The girls had a fab time and I promised them scrapbooks to commemorate their time.

Long Grove Apple Festival
Sorry "real" work has been busy so I have not been posting on a regular basis :(
I headed up to Long Grove this past weekend to partake in their annual Apple Festival. We ate at a new Mexican restaurant called Victoria's - very dillylish :) It was extremely hot - here in the Windy City - high 80's in October UGH!
But, it was worth enduring in order to gobble up some warm cinnamon donuts...
We drank freshly squeezed lemonade and picked several apples in many varieties.
There were gourds and acorns ...
and pumpkins...
We found this very amusing...
As we drove back to the city, there were beautiful grassy areas and we were close to driving on a fumes LOL

Simply Sent Kits
These are such a great value! And now they are even on Sale. To Celebrate World Card Making Day (officially on 10-6-07), Stampin' Up! has reduced the price on these kits by 20%, SO GOOD AHEAD, buy yourself one or two of them, maybe all five. Pick up some for Holiday Gifts- get your shopping done while they are on sale, then sit back and feel so good about it.
HURRY - YOU NEED TO MOVE QUICKLY - this special is only available for three more days - ends this Monday, Oct. 8th.
Why do I think these are such a great value you ask? Because, EVERYTHING you need is in them to make just what it says on the description of each one of the five. AND each one focuses on a different technique. Have you even tried working with chipboard? Now is your chance. Want to see what kits are available click here and then be sure to scroll over so you can view pages 12, 13, and 14. These kits contain everything needed, and the cardstock is precut, the ribbons and embellishments are in there AND even the glue! The box even makes a beautiful presentation for gift giving!

pink for october
It's October, and I am going pink for the month! It's Breast Cancer awareness month. Visit the Pink for October website for more information on how you can go pink too.
The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).

Apologize
Apologize (YouTube)
I'm holding on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground
I'm hearin what you say but I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around, and say that...
It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
I'd take another chance, take a fall
Take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
But it's nothing new
I loved you with a fire red-
Now it's turning blue, and you say...
"Sorry" like the angel heaven let me think was you
But I'm afraid...
It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
Bridge (guitar/piano)
It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
It's too late to apologize, yeah
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah-
I'm holdin on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground...
Saturday Stamp Camp
We had our 2nd Stamp Camp/Club at my place Park Millennium Chicago.
Sweet huh?
Cards/theme were Fall & Halloween (next month will be more Fall and Thanksgiving cards).
I had a display of food and candy
I also had a display of cards, coasters, match books
as well as last month's Fall Frenzy promotion
I also sold a bunch of retired stamp sets
At each stamper's seat, they had their materials for the cards, the Fall Frenzy Promotion and a cute matchbox with a secret candy to be found dillylish (who doesn't like chocolate?)
We made 4 cards:
Here is Pam & Teri - Pam is "huffing"
