Want to join my Marker Club?

This is a great time to sign up for a marker club and get the marker caddy as well, without having to spend all the money at once. Just make four monthly payments of $44.95 (this includes all shipping and tax) and in return each month you will get a color family of markers plus a pack of coordinating assorted 8.5x11 card stock.

In the fourth month you'll also receive the marker caddy, an assorted pack of 8.5x11 neutrals card stock, a level 1 hostess set of your choice and a Sale-A-Bration product of your choice.

What a deal!

But this only happens once a year, since two marker orders must be placed during Sale-A-Bration for every member to receive a free Sale-A-Bration product of his or her choice. So if you want to take advantage of this opportunity you need to e-mail me at stampingonthelakefront@gmail.com ASAP.

Valentine's Day Card

I am getting gear up for tomorrow Stamp Camp! These are little goodies that I will place at each person's work space. The medium cellophane bags are from the Valentine's Day Bundle that Stampin' Up! is promoting this month and inside are little heart gummies. They are tied with the tag from the Happy Heart Day stamp set and the new real red striped grosgrain ribbon.

I just saw this cute Valentine's card on Audra's Blog. So cute! I had to cAse it. She said she cAsed it too lol...

stamp set: happy heart day
ink: basic black
cardstock: whisper white, real red & regal rose
accessories: 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop circle punch, 5/8" regal rose ribbon, markers, spica glitter pens

I went back and tweaked the bird - I used so saffron watercolor crayon and a blender pen to soften him up and I added the rhinestone in the flower...

Updates and cAsing....

I presented this card on Monday and thought I needed to go back and add depth to the flower - well I tried a few things and decided a little linen thread was all that was needed
stamps: so many scallops (SAB), brocade basics
paper: rose red, old olive, chocolate chip, soft sky
ink: rose red, white craft ink
accessories: button, 5/8" chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, mat pak

These cards below also used the SAB So Many Scallops stamp set but I used the birthday stamp instead. I think it would be a great card for a little boy. I made a long card and a mini card. I cAsed from Patty and someone else but I can not remember who - I need to be better at keeping track of all your great ideas!!!!

stamps: so many scallops (SAB)
paper: Simply Scrappin - Summer Days
ink: real red, pumpin pie, always artichoke, blissful blue markers
accessories: button, pumpkin pie grosgrain ribbon, pop up glue dots, spica glitter pen (lemon)
tools: scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1-1/4" circle punch

Now its time for cAsing Kristina. Love her stuff!!! This is my version of her MACM card she debuted this past Monday. I too did not have any of the special needles and sewing tools and I did this at like 2am last night. But I wanted to give it a try it ;) I used chocolate chip rather than basic gray cardstock and I used kraft taffeta ribbon instead of basic gray.

stamps: polka dot background stamp
cardstock: sage shadow, chocolate chip, very vanilla
ink: sage shadow
ribbon: pretty in pink and kraft taffeta ribbon
tools: paper piercer and mat pack

And this is her MACM from last week. I LOVE the Simply Scrappin - Crew Kids Girl kit! I tweaked a bit and still feel like I need to do something different with the bird - it is too bright. I colored it with a spica glitter pen (I think lemon but maybe gold). I also meant to put a rhinestone on the center of the flower. So I will go back and tweak some more tonight. I did not have the Thanks I needed that stamp so I used A Little Birdie Told Me.

stamps: a little birdie told me
paper: kraft, basic gray, whisper white, Simply Scrappin - Crew Kids Girl
ink: basic black, regal rose, wild wasabi, so saffron, pumpkin pie, COPIC Spica Glitter Pen Set
ribbon: 5/8" regal rose wide grosgrain

Chicago has 2 of the Top 9 Unique Structure soon to be built

I live in the Loop and across the street a new building is being built called Aqua - condo/apartment building and is planned to be completed in 2009 in Chicago. This is one of the 9 Unique structures being built in the world! It begins on the 53rd floor and soars 81-stories, it’ll only be when you get close and look up that you can appreciate the ripple/jelly effect created by variously sized balconies from top to bottom.

The phenomenal Chicago Spire, when completed in 2011, will be the world’s tallest residential building and the tallest building of any kind in the western world. It is seemingly modeled on the image of a giant drill poking through the ground, the 609m structure will dominate the Chicago skyline.

Happy Heart Day

cAsed but again I don't know where...I went to make this card about a week ago AFTER I had placed my order for Stamp Camp. I had thought I had bought Happy Heart Day in my last big order - well that was in December when we could purchase some sets before the catalog debuted and this was not one of them lol so I had to place an emergency order tsk tsk

anyways...

stamps: happy heart day
paper: regal rose, pretty pink, chocolate chip, whisper white, berry bliss dsp
ink: basic gray, pretty in pink, regal rose, basic black
accessories: pop up glue dots, pretty in pink taffeta ribbon, spica glitter pens

1 3/8" circle punch, 1-1/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch, blender pens

Under the Weather

again, cAsed and don't remember who - sorry!

stamps: a little bird told me
paper: whisper white
ink: basic black, apricot appeal, almost amethyst, certainly celery
accessories: aqua painter

Sale-A-Bration 2008

I cAsed this from someone (sorry I don't know who lol) and they cAsed it from something similar in the SAB mini.

stamps: sab, brocade basics
paper: rose red, old olive, chocolate chip, soft sky
ink: rose red, white craft ink
accessories: button, 5/8" chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, mat pak

I am thinking of going back to this and creating some depth with the flower itself - maybe using a different colored button and/or cutting out the scallop and the stamp image in separate parts. Stay tuned!

Embrace Life again...

Stamps: embrace life
Paper: white, celery
Ink: basic black
Accessories: su rub on, pearls, celery marker

I cAsed this from
jul80566 on SCS. I messed up when I did the rub on onto the card below because another rub on transferred onto the paper as well (learned my lesson t0 cut out the one you want to use do not rub onto the paper directly form the sheet... so some certainly celery grosgrain solved the problem ;) Actually it makes the original one look like it needs something more.
